Student Living is the University of Newcastle’s on-campus accommodation precinct at their Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses, with a range of facilities and living environments to suit undergraduates, postgraduates, couples and students with special needs. Student Living provides an unparalleled accommodation experience that includes their exciting and unique ResLife program, 24 hour support and well-being services, customer-support initiatives and preferential living options.
UON residents are supported by a team of professional staff, including a Health and Well-Being Coordinator who work with the Residential Leadership Team to provide an integrated ResLife program that offers strong academic and social support and a wide variety of fun activities to cater for all tastes. UON’s student-focused facilities include study areas, common rooms and indoor and outdoor social spaces. Twenty-four hour security and on-call resident support provides peace of mind for those coming to live on-campus, as well as for their loved ones at home. Living on-campus is a perfect transition for students leaving home for the first time or who are arriving from other towns, cities or countries.
Each residence offers a choice of accommodation options, with the option of private or shared rooms and private or shared facilities to suit our student community. UON also offer a variety of living arrangements to suit students seeking the ease of fully catered meal options or the flexibility of semi-catered living, through to self-catered options for students seeking more independence.
